The Secret To Being Truly Content

October 29, 2018October 30, 20181 Comment

One of my least favorite questions, which I actually get quite a lot (especially by well-meaning childhood friends) is this: "Are you happy?" While it seems like a pretty harmless question, I absolutely hate what it implies: that being a mother, and only a mother, is not a real job and me being happy doing … Continue reading The Secret To Being Truly Content

“She Reads Truth” Bible Review

When I was 13, my grandmother bought me this Bible. Although I had many Bibles, this was IT! I began reading that evening, running to hide away in my room and soak up the Word of God. And that Bible became so well-loved that pages would just fall out. Many books were duct-taped together and … Continue reading “She Reads Truth” Bible Review

Crockpot Chicken & Noodles

For some odd reason, I've always thought of Chicken & Noodles as a recipe I wouldn't be able to make right. Don't ask me why, but because of this, I procrastinated making it, until the day my hubby had his wisdom teeth taken out. He requested Chicken & Noodles with mashed potatoes. So I called … Continue reading Crockpot Chicken & Noodles

When fall rolls around, everything seems right in the world. I feel like my true self again. I had never thought of it that way before until the other day. I was with a friend and I complained about the hot and humid temperature. She smiled and said, "Well, at least we can be outside … Continue reading 5 Reasons Fall Is My Jam

He finally got his Uncle Joe 😂 But Brenna would be angry if I didn’t mention that she’s the one he fell asleep on. 😊 I officially said goodbye to my baby boy. This month we weaned off of bottles, he’s started saying literally every word he hears, he is independent and does so many big boy things, started wearing 2T... There might have been tears from both mama and baby while he got trimmed, but oh my gosh he’s so handsome ❤️😭 Where did my little baby go?! Super Bowl moments I forgot to share. Chugging some Mountain Dew and very first selfies with Kaity 😂 He fell asleep reading a book. He’s definitely mine. 😍 He had a meltdown because I tried to spoon feed him chicken and noodles. He’s so satisfied. 🤦🏻‍♀️ He never stops moving. Until daddy is outside working...then he’s plastered to the window in total awe. The last one he was saying “where’s dada?” When he walked out of vision 😂
