I don’t remember when I had this salad for the first time, but I will always remember my reaction to it. Sitting among the potato and macaroni salads at a potluck, I just didn’t expect it to be that good… but I saw apples, so I thought it would maybe be the tastiest option.
And, oh my gosh was I FLOORED.
This stuff is incredible. It’s basically just a bowl full of sugar in different textures with some apples to call it an acceptable food. But isn’t that what all of us secretly want?
Here’s my simple, go-to recipe for a quick cold salad that is sure to get everyone at your next event excited!
Snicker Apple Salad
1 (3.4 oz) box instant vanilla or cheesecake pudding
1 cup milk
1 tub whipped topping, thawed
3 granny smith apples
4 regular snickers bars OR 1 bag of fun sized snickers
(Optional) Caramel Ice Cream Topping
Mix dry pudding mix with milk until combined. Fold in whipped topping. Wash, core and cut apples into bite sized pieces. Chop snickers bars into bite sized pieces. Mix all ingredients together. Drizzle with caramel ice cream topping if desired. Keep refrigerated or serve immediately.
